CDC's Bring Your Brave Campaign: Materials for Healthcare Providers

When the CDC launched its consumer-facing Bring Your Brave campaign – designed to get young women talking to their families about hereditary breast and ovarian cancer – the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD) produced a wide array of companion materials to help healthcare providers facilitate these conversations in their own daily practice. I worked with subject matter experts from the CDC and NACDD to develop an array of content ranging from educational fact sheets to customizable blogs, newsletter articles, and social media posts to packaging for a video series offering first-person stories and testimonials. The link provided here is to a landing page that contains most of this content.

NEA Parents' Guide: Raising Ready Readers

The National Education Association, in partnership with the National Parent Teacher Association (PTA), needed a series of brochures to help parents provide emotional and academic support to their children during grades K-12. I researched and wrote eight brochures on topics such as "Helping Your Child With Today's Math" and "Ensuring a Good Technology Education for Your Child." This brochure, "Raising Ready Readers," provides guidance on helping pre-school children develop strong language and literacy skills.
